I saw the movie for the fourth time last weekend. Go Guardians of the Galaxy!

After seeing it again, it inspired me to do this PSC.

I think that darkening the bark around his eyes was counterproductive. In the movie, baby Groot has a pretty solid brown bark, and then black eyes, the transition is greater. By darkening around the eyes as you have  done, it takes a cute, innocent character and makes him look more worn out. It is still cute, it's just, the eyes look more sad or maybe even creepy.
