Writing consists of more than telling a thrilling story. Every tale creates a whole new world full of secrets and fantastical quirks, some of which are important to the plot and some others might give you a better understanding of this strange world, while many might just be mildly interesting. Most of them might never even be unveiled, but they are nevertheless a part of the world created.
For me, the process of creating is far more important than the finished piece itself. To me, it's the world that counts.
