It is with great sadness that I have to report that Patrick Carlucci passed away this morning after a 5 year battle with Non-Hodgkins lymphoma.   He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family and friends.

I want to take this moment to thank everyone for their prayers, donations, and support for Pat and his family during this difficult time.  Pat touched so many people through his art, his appearances at shows, and through the kindness he expressed to everyone.  He was a very talented artist and will be greatly missed!

My family and I send our love to each and every one of you!  I will post details regarding his funeral arrangements some time tomorrow afternoon.

Best regards,

Dawn Carlucci
(Patrick Carlucci's wife)

A few years ago I remember havng a correspondence with Pat that lasted about a year. We exchanged emails and talked about our love of comic art. The discovering of his passing was a shocking and tragic moment for me, even though I didn't know him well. He was a great artist. I don't know what more to say except that, when we spoke, I found him to be a kind-hearted fellow. It's a rare type to be found these days. Rest in peace, Pat.

I became aware of the news the day after this was posted. You have my sincerest condolences. Took me a while to sort through emotions. I never met him in person, but interacted with him a little here. I lack confidence with my artistic abilities, but he's one of the first & few to offer me advice & encouragement to keep pressing forward. It meant a lot to me not only for that reason, but also because he was such an exceptional artist. With further interaction I learned he was an exceptional person as well. In some ways it feels awkward to mourn so for someone you've never met, but maybe its a testament to the beauty of his character. Hopefully when people see his beautiful works they can see there was an equally beautiful artist behind it.

He was a wonderful guy, though I never got the chance to meet him, I did get a message or two from him here...I'm honored to have even gotten in touch that much.

I wasn't familiar with his art, but am sorry for his passing. I lighted a candle for him at church on Sunday.

Dawn, you have my condolences. Pat was a great person, and I always enjoyed talking to him at the Pittsburgh and Baltimore cons.

His art was only outshone by his friendliness and enthusiasm. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Oh no! I had no idea he was still battling! I met him at Comic Con a few years ago and he seemed like a great person. I'm so sorry and I am sad that I never got to visit him at another con. I'll be sure to keep my print of his Sally picture somewhere safe :D

I've never had the honor of meeting him, and only had the briefest of contact with him. I truly wish I had more courage to talk to him. I'm glad though that those that loved him were close as well as his friends. I wish you all the best and will miss his humor and updates.

R.I.P. Mr. Carlucci
