History

Bearfang was introduced into the world as Bearkit, a newborn kit of great mass and size for a newborn and thus, he was granted the name by his three parents, Raccoonheart, Largeclaw and Deadtail. Raccoonheart was a proud warrior in his prime days despite being small in size. His mate was his childhood friend, Deadtail. She was a large blue furred warrior with a stub tail after it had to be amputated after an accident. The two of them grew up side by side together and as they became warriors and mates, they grew closer with a fellow warrior by the name of Largeclaw, a large yet lazy tom who wanted nothing but sleep. After deciding that they wanted him into their relationship, they approached him and asked, which he said yes to. The three warriors fought many valiant battles together until they decided to have children. As soon as Bearkit came into the world, they vowed to each other to not only continue to be proud warriors of Crowclan but to become great parents and teachers to their kit.

Bearkit received his mentor in the form of Scarbelly, a lanky senior warrior, with an ugly scar on his belly, who didn't seem worth even a glance until he proved his cunning intellect and tactics in battle. Bearpaw instantly grew to respect the older tom, and leeched off on everything he told him. The apprentice grew to become brave and strong-willed, and would always need to be held back during border patrols as he would always jeer and shout that he wanted to fight. He was quite the brat when he was a child, and his fellow apprentice Smokepaw would eagerly tell him so. Bearpaw also became quite destructive, as he enjoyed the sight of things breaking. Whenever kits would build little mounds of dirt, he would knock them down as he passed them whilst laughing and can be quite unhelpful. The tom would use his size to his advantage at all times.

Surprisingly, he was made into a warrior. Shouting proudly that he wanted the "fang" prefix, he became the warrior that his parents and mentor wanted. Strong, proud and brave. He had mellowed out his years of being an apprentice and as he grew accustomed to his life as a young warrior, he grew closer to his friend Smokepelt, who had become a warrior beside him. Bearfang made the sudden decision that he and Smokepelt would be great mates and they should try it out, and Smokepelt agreed with a simple "sure why not." The two attempted to act how any other couple would and found that despite it being odd and different, things didn't really change between them. After a few moons, Smokepelt revealed to Bearfang that he was going to be a father for she was pregnant and he quickly zoomed out of the nursery as soon as he was told that. Not feeling ready for children, he tried to avoid the nursery as much as he could. However, as his father Raccoonheart urged him to, he was present at the birthing and as soon as his yellow eyes caught sight of the four kits, HIS FOUR KITS, he was astounded that he was able to create things as beautiful as the youngsters he was looking at. Deciding that he would be there for them, Bearfang stayed by Smokepelt's side that night before he went on his warrior's duties the next morning, albeit quite reluctantly which was a rarity for him. As the kits grew into apprentices, Bearfang and Smokepelt realised how dull their relationship felt and realised that they only stuck together due to familiarity and the necessity for their kits. Smokepelt wanted to continue being a couple for at least as long as the kittens were kits so they waited. The two of them eventually ended their relationship earlier than that and decided that they were better off as friends. 

Bearfang now continues to stand as a strong and loyal warrior of Crowclan who would do anything for his children and friends. He now stands in as the sole guardian of his children after Smokepelt found herself another mate and family, with Smokepelt assuring that the kittens are still very much her own as well. Although he is not their mentor, he keeps a keen eye on the growth of his children for he hopes for each one of them to become just as strong as him for strength was always a common trait within his part of the family.
