Artificially produced canal for water mills comes from the year 1169. With the construction of the canal was created the island - Kampa.
Kampa is one of the most romantic and beautiful places in Prague. Although downtown is a peaceful place, as if from another world. There is plenty of greenery, cultural and historical monuments.
The place on the photo is known as Prague-, or Little Venice.
