As you can tell I've been pretty busy (read: lazy) with settling into life in the UK. It's a pretty interesting experience and every week brings something new to do or see. I've now moved into a city apartment with my best mate from Sheffield, Nicola, who I also work with. We've been busy making the place as 'Selby-ish' as we can.
Work has been ok, but I'm getting itchy about doing more art. I try to motivate myself but it's quite hard to get anything going. Art school really was a great motivator. Hopefully, if I stay here, I will eventually go back into Uni and finish my degree. For now I'm just working on little projects in the hope that they will eventually be able to be exhibited somewhere. I do however have a new assistant and two models who I've been working with. I've got at least 3 projects I'm actively working on but all are long term works so nothing to show for them yet.
Be sure to check out my website: www.emilytulett.com
for new artworks. I also try to install a more regular 'art' blog on there soon.
I really miss Aus & NZ but I think I miss the people more than the locale. I do miss my favorite shops and cafes but I'm finding new places to visit all the time. It's feeling less and less like a strange foreign country every day.
I'm looking forward to next week where I will celebrate my 26th birthday! 3 days off from work and a big house party. Woo!
