I love the warmth and sentiment of this piece, but I'm curious about the lighting choice. At least initially the contrast draws the eye away from the focal point of the tie. It leaves a bit of room for surprise, but it also risks deflecting the viewers attention. It works well here because the visual elements aren't "busy" so the viewer will settle on the tie eventually. The swatch of warm color also sets a tone that the cool color scheme might otherwise mute. I'm not criticizing the choice, just trying to learn from it. Of course, I'm not a visual artist anyway, so the knowledge gained may not be completely practical, but learning to look at the world from new angles is critical for a poet as well.
Fine work as always. Thanks for sharing it.
