800 hp 1969 Corvette Stingray

After seeing this DA submission: [link] I was inspired to post two pics of a similarly badass C3 Corvette I saw in Sep 09 at Laguna Seca Mazda Raceway. I talked to the builder of the car and he told me he it was built to look like a period correct classic racecar but built to run with the best modern day high performance parts from the engine to the suspension and brakes, etc. He also restored this red beast which fetched $572k at the Monterey Sportscar Auction: [link]
