An idea I got from the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago. They have a "Wild Reef" exhibit that's really, uh, wild!!
Well, I kinda used a bunch of stuff for this one.
Made with Poser, PoseRay and POV-Ray. Photoshop for the stingray and swimsuit patterns.
I also used
POV-Ray IBL (Image Based Lighting) code [link]
along with a main light to get a defined shadow. Thanks, Max, wow that's a lot of lights!! And I was only using the level 6 set
I also used Jon Buller's wonderful Penrose macros for the bottom of the pool, which you can get on the POV-Ray newgroups here ==> [link]
The random colours on the tiles are generated using this trick ==> [link]
(works best if the image is all somewhat similar colours)
