Well, I've no good news, and the bad is more or less the same. No one's moving a finger until they get paid for it, and even then, really, who's to tell if they'd not continue sending her around from one doctor to another, to another, to another.
Today's the final day I work with the awesome UK translator/interpreter company. They promised me time and again that I'll be first on the list to re-hire when projects get rolling again. It could be next week, it could be next year, so I need to fill in the time/money gap asap, no matter what. If anyone knows decent translating companies - let me know. Decent as in providing contracts and hiring freelancers (aka no office work, some consider it pure freelancing, others still count it as "normal" work).
I've been mighty bummed out, as you can imagine. I think I'll just somehow re-organize my work space to accommodate painting and jewelry best, putting the rest in the background. That's pretty much the only thing that gets me out of
