I graduated and started a blog

Journal Entry: Sun Jul 7, 2013, 10:38 AM

If you can make it past the first paragraph, it actually gets interesting.

So I realize I haven't posted one of these in the longest time. So to get right to the most important point, I graduated from college. I was studying Illustration for Sequential Arts which basically means comics and manga (but mostly comics). It was a three year program and I really can't explain how much I've progressed while there, and not just because of the classes, I also owe a huge deal to my classmates who gave me a new perspective on the way other people work and honestly some people to compete with. I'm not going to go into much detail about it because there are a lot of negatives that go along with it but if anyone is willing to come to Toronto, Canada to become a better comic artist, feel free to ask me for some info.

So now for the actually interesting part (in my opinion that is):

I've started work on my personal comic. Well actually I started like 1.5 years ago but now I'm actually drawing it. It's going to be less of an ongoing comic and will be more of a graphic novel. I'm still working on the first part which I'll be using as a mini preview book the cons I go to next year.
I'm not exclusively working on that book though, I'm currently working on a 6 page story for a writer in England and a 24 page comic for these two Toronto writers.

Basically it's interesting to me because it's my first announcement of me doing some professional work on my dA.
I'll try to post some shots of what I'm doing but of course I first need consent from the writers.

Also my friends from school and I have started an art blog together. It's called From a Hat, and it's your typical group art blog where we draw a new character every week to see it in our different styles.
We've done 5 weeks so far, here are a couple pieces from :iconteshawndwyer: and myself

Okay so that's pretty much it, I'll open commissions again soon
Just a quick update

I'll post something new pretty soon

You're welcome, and Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. I'm just going into my second year, so we aren't specifically studying anything special, but I plan on doing concept art for videogames.
