Your characters have managed to walk around the Old Oak location undisturbed by any natural or unnatural force. They’ve been able to visually inspect the tree and the caverns below, but they have not physically approached it yet. After feeling confident enough, your party decides to finally make contact with the tree. When each of their paws touch the tree, they feel a sort of euphoria wash over them. Any fear, any anxiety or stress, seems to simply melt away. They all step further in/onto the tree, and the feelings continue. They don’t find anything of significance, but when your characters decide to step out of the tree and back onto the forest floor, the euphoric feeling lingers for a short while, following them as they return back to the Heartwood before fading away.

There had been a sense of dread present in the group as they approached the Old Oak. Naedria despised the feeling, but after her last encounter at the site, she was feeling uncertain about what thus could entail. With Zack and Mornhael in tow, though, she felt a little more brave about facing whatever was to come... And what greeted the trio was an undeniable sense of happiness and calm. The crisp air felt warmer, the sunlight brighter and the future more hopeful. As they depart from their expedition, they all soak up the feelings.
