Yesterday we had another protest in my city, Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil.

The police attacked innocent people who kept yelling "NO VIOLENCE" and "You there, soldiers, you are also explored"... we sat on the ground under the rain and cold in a demonstration of peace, but even so they threw Tear Gas and rubber bullets against people who weren't doing anything wrong. I was there. So people ran in fear, trying not to fall nor to be smashed by a hundred feet... A mass in panic. But the more they pushed us back, more angry we felt.

This videos cannot show the real chaos that was yesterday, only a small part of it. Those footages are from manifestants, 'cause the media won't show what really happened.

There's no turning back. We won't stop now.

Police brutality is well known for all of us - teachers, black people, poor people, workers, etc- who are always fighting against injustice in this country. Last week I was chased, hurt and almost arrested. I'm still trying to figure it out what the fuck just happened. I have friends who are hurt really bad and other one who was arrested. I saw a civil war here in Rio and a brutal violence that I'll never forget. I saw police officers abusing their power and almost sexually assaulting girls and women they arrested. There were those two girls who were running from the bombs and the shots.( YES, because they were shooting rubber bullets). They caught the girls, threw them on the filthy street and started to take of their clothes, while they screamed : "Take of their clothes!They might have bombs!"
The officers threw bombs on unarmed civil people. They threw a bomb in a fucking HOSPITAL with sick and hurt people in there!For god's sake...
It's a civil war, not a pacific protest like the midia loves to say. Last thursday, they send a troop only used to exterminated and kill drug dealers/and the good people who live on the favelas. Yes, because we are living in a country who couldn't give a damn about the one who are not rich. So they pretend that they don't know that the poor ones that living on poor neighborhoods are being killed.
This special troop that I was talking about is the same that trains armies all over the world and special forces like SWAT. They are called BOPE.
I mean...really?I don't have word to describe what really happened. But it was horror.
