Two Marines on Patrol. One of them is happily playing with a yoyo which apparenly bother his partner.

Whetter marines are allowed to have yo-yo's or not remains a mistery for me... and I'd like it that way


Anyway... this is the first drawing I put up since October.... I've pretty much got rid of a 3 month art block.

To everyone suffereing an art block: IT'S A CURABLE DISEASE!

This project initially buggered me a lot when I tried to work on it back in October and again in November while I was in Germany. This was pretty much the third attempt and luckily it went succesful. It took me about a day to finish drawing this project and it was mostly because I didn't bother much in drawing too many details. The coloring was more or less simple as well. Although like usual I ended up using some "dust" and blur to make it look more "realistic" 'though I guess that was stupid for a fun image. The background is horribly simple and unrealistic. I blame that to my lack of will on wasting time on a background which anyway is not suppoused to be the center of attraction.... so I went "meh" about it.

I used the digital camouflage brushes from like usual. The rest is basic brushes from PhotoShop.

I'd like to apologize because this is by far NOT one of my best works. This is mostly due that my mood of drawing is quite low so when I'm drawing now I try not to complicate myself much or I'll get stuck again with an art blockade on my head ==;
Also, I got quite a lot of rust after three months of not drawing and coloring.

I hope that the next two drawings will look better on colors and I hope this drawing despite not being a good one is still liked by you, deviants.

PS: By using the term Jarhead I was just trying to point the somewhat dumb yet happy nature of the yoyo-marine. Not insulting the Corps.... but if anyone disagrees then BRING IT ON!
