My second zootopia fanart, but now after watching the movie. That is excelent, made me cry, laugh, excited, and go out with a big smile.
Absolutely a great film.

This scene is my own interpretation of one of the more sentimental scenes on the film. No spoilers here.
Nick was my absolute favorite character.

As a young boy, I was bullied all the way through school. This scene hit me hard, especially as I'd found myself in several instances just like little Nick. I had a hard time holding myself together during that scene and I ended up having a few flashbacks.

I sometimes ended up exactly as you have pictured Nick here, at home, alone, and near tears.

Even now, I have a hard time watching those scenes and seeing this type of artwork. But you have captured the aftermath so perfectly. In him I see a lack of understanding ("Why would they do this?"), a hopelessness ("Will it ever stop?"), and a glimmer of light for the future.

Well done.

Hear! Hear! I know the feeling too. I wanted to be a Tiger Scout Master in that room full of bullies and do my best not to be a bully myself.

I thought this was a good story to address this by atempharaoh called "Best Worst Day Every". It made me feel great.

Thanks for that. I've never read that story before. It was a beautiful sentiment that shows that there are people that stand up to bullies. As a grown man, I am one now, but I never had anyone stand up for me when I was the one face down in the mud puddle.

Many of us has lived things like this, but in the end we become stronger people, ready to.....try everything, hehe.

I'm so glad this pic transmited you all that n__n

Awesome! The texture and shadows make me feel like I'm actually looking at Nick in reality! Your sketching of his expression is very natural and flawless. It's heartwarming, I really want to hug him and cheer him up!

The colours for the ambient objects, like those on the bedsheet or the wallpaper, are well chosen to contrast the presence of Nick's bright orange and green tones...

The lighting is just sublime, with the calm moonlight blending in with the bright fluorescent "campfire" light!!! Also, the silhouette of Nick's head against the wallpaper is exceptionally well thought of.

In addition to all this, the detailing is very convincing and realistic:
1. The wrinkles on Nick's shirt and shorts
2. The moonlight gleam against his fur
3. The umbral and penumbral regions in the room considering multiple light sources

The ONLY thing that I find missing is Nick's tail!!! I completely understand that it's hidden behind him, but you could've reoriented his tail so that a part of it had been visible... However that does NOT make your work incomplete or imperfect, it's just my spontaneous expectation in this setting...

This is by far the best drawing of Nick as a kid or kit if one were to be technical about it, it's borderline perfect with exception for one small detail that prevented this from scoring perfectly on my scale, Wouldn't it be logical for Nick to have tears in his eyes after what happened to him when he wanted to join the Junior Ranger Scouts in a attempt to join a pack 'cause that would make this seem so real, other then that and lack of outlining and along with shadowing this is all and all a solid drawing

The art is wonderful, the collars are perfectly blended with the background as well as Nick himself. The scene its self is impact-full and resonates beautifully. I love the collar for the room as well as the texture for the art its self. The expression on Nick's face is captured perfectly, wonderful use of shadows and of space. their is nothing I would add that could make this room better. The bright collars used for the lamp is a nice touch, the one thing I felt could be added is maybe a tear in Nick's eye would have been perfect. Absolutely love it.

To be 100% honest here I don't do these much but this piece here actually got to me and I believe it's a great fan art of what would happen after nick went home that night. Nick is my favorite character for several reasons, but I do wanna say this is an amazing piece of art. I like the colors the atmosphere and the setting. I especially like the lamp on his night stand there. This does remind me of my former days of boys scouts .... Good .... Memories .... Eh who am I kidding they were horrible. But! And this is a pretty big but. I think you did an amazing job here keep up the amazing work!!

The originality and the impact of this artwork are very awesome, indeed. The technique and the vision of the artwork are basically amazing. This artwork focuses on this fox character's sad and depressing childhood. He feels like that he's left out and abandoned. This artwork is from the animated motion picture, "Zootopia." This story focuses more on animals than on humans. I feel sorry for this character, though. I do appreciate this artwork. Way to go to you and congrats to you for your artwork. This artwork has an awesome depth of his childhood. I am very proud of you.

Wow, just WOW! This piece is amazing. This perfectly shows what young Nickis going through and how traumatised he is. When I first saw the scene, I was shocked; awed and engulfed on how well this scene was handled in contrast with the rest of the film. I say those that use their identity as a member of society like those kids, no matter what as a way to scar him the way they did are disgusting awful beings. Well done with this pic.

Vision: beautiful colours as if it is like a Disney Cartoon episode as good as Gravity Falls, no joke. The lighting is beautiful and textures are very well done. I like how you told this from a very emotional point of view.

Originality: I could see this as another layer to see what happened to his parents and how Nick may come across the kids, as a grown-up fox. Very well structured and you have a mind set as if what may happen to his parents.

Technique: Very crisp; clear and very appealing to the eyes. It is as if Nick is feeling what emotions you wanted to draw him. Very smooth and simple. I really loved how the room looks like he is a kid like any other.

Impact: Good GOD! This really represents how many awful thoughts he has to deal with. would be swirling through his own mind. I think this scene should be more into the backstory of what happened that made Nick chose the to con others.

I recommend you all who come across this critique to see this movie to get the better understanding and I could not do this movie justice. This pic is more than meets the eye and is very sad and expressive. Keep up the great work.

This is absolutely gorgeous. The emotion and depth of this piece perfectly conveys not just the scene in the movie, but also how individuals who have been affected by similar traumas often become. The whole demeanor, particularly the eyes, is downcast and sullen, his entire body seems like it's weeping. He also looks very cute and lovable, thus making me feel more sympathy for him. The colors are incredibly clean and crisp, in particular how the light shining off the lamp reflects off of young Nick's face and upper torso. It provides an interesting contrast to the gloominess pervading both the scene and the character. Great job

This piece is beautiful. This scene was making me choke up, and you made the aftermath with a gorgeous touch. The colors really stand out, and Nick's room fits his color scheme and uniform. I must say, the hat looks so 3D and molded, its perfect.
Nick looks so miserable, its very sad, I must say you did a great job making a sad scene with bright colors. The lamplight is soft, but not so light you can't tell were the light is coming from. The lamp is also not a super bright shine, and the light in the window is perfect moonlight. I give it a 10/10 and its a stunning drawing.

I think I really need more study with lighting in scenes, but that you said this looked as 3D, oh wow, thanks!! I think just from far it looks but then you pay more atention and you can see the brushes.
Thanks again for this critique

I remember this scene. This part made me cry in the movie theater, and this piece of art makes me tear up. The shading and the lines look very nice. I also love the amount of detail put into everything, it looks good.

I also feel very touched. I was always bullied as a young kid for pretty much my whole life, and I felt sympathetic for Nick Wilde (My name is also Nick so yeah). I pretty much just want to give him a hug. I loved Zootopia so much.

Overall, I really enjoyed this piece of art. Keep up the good work.

That's really great to know, Nick!
I really loved this part of the movie beacuse it is something many people could be identified, and of course is tragic, that marks something in our life, even if that dream looked as a child dream. I lived something like that.
