Commission Atem x reader To be wed [1/3]
(You will be the princess of the niles. You are 15 years old, you have long [h/c] hair, and [e/c] eyes.)
You lied on your bed curled up on a ball crying.
“Why?... Why does it have to be me?.... And why now?”
“W-what?” You stood in front of your father not believing what he just told you.
“I’m sorry my dear daughter but I had no choice. In a few days you will be sent off in a few days to be married off to the Pharaohs son Atem. With this marriage we’ll gain more land.
“But father, I don’t want to marry for that. I want to marry out of love. Also I don’t want to marry someone that I don’t even know.”
“ENOUGH! YOU ARE GOING TO MARRY THE PRINCE OF EGYPT IF YOU LIKE IT OR NOT!”
“I don’t want to marry. At Least not yet.” There was a knock at your door. “GO AWAY!”
“[Y/n] It’s your mother.” You sprung up from you bed and watched at your mother entered your room.
“Mother.” More tears fell from your eyes. Climbing off the bed you ran to your mothers outstretched arms. “Mother I’m sorry. I didn’t know it was you.”
“Hush my child it’s alright.” you both sit down on your bed. “Mother I’m not ready for this.”
“I know you’re not. But do not fear my child you won’t be married right away. You will get to know the boy.”
“But mother I-i’m not good with getting to know people. Also I get nervous when talking to people.
Plus the prince might not even like me.” Your mother smiled down at you and combed her fingers through your hair.
“You have nothing to worry about. I have met to prince before and he is a kind, and respectful young man. I’m sure that you will get along just fine. Plus both me and your father will be there so if anything goes wrong then you can right to me.” You looked down at your lap.
~ 3 days later~
You arrived at the Palace and your family was being led to the Pharaohs throne room. Keeping your head down trying to keep yourself calm.
‘I can do this. I can do this. I can do this.’ Repeating it to yourself for so long you didn’t notice that you arrived in front of the Pharaoh. Looking up you immediately became extremely shy. ‘I CAN’T DO THIS!’ You slowly started to hide behind your mother. She looked over her shoulder at you and took one of your hands into hers.
“Everything will be just fine [Y/n].” she whispered to you. Nodding you take a deep breath calming down ever so slightly. But still stayed hiding being your mother. Meanwhile you looked at the boy that stood next to the Pharaoh. He had tri- colored hair of red, black and gold. He had a perfect shade of sun kissed skin, and her had crimson eyes. He also wore a pyramid pendant that hung around his neck. A small blush spread across your cheeks as your looked over to boy in aw. ‘He’s pretty handsome.’ Suddenly crimson eyes met with [e/c] eye’s. But as quickly as the eyes met you looked away. ‘This is not going to be easy.’
You lazily sat your head on the table as your father talked to the Pharaoh. Trying to muffle a yawn you looked around the room, not really listening to what they were saying. Looking across the table Prince Atem sat looking as bored as hell. ‘It looks like he’s not enjoying this either.’ Letting out a sigh.
“So what do you think [Y/n]?” You shot up in your seat.
“W-what?” Your father pinched the bridge of his nose.
“The Pharaoh asked you what you think about the theme of the wedding.” Your cheeks turned red and you lowered your head.
“Oh... yeah that sounds fine.” The two went back to whatever and you just leaned back into your chair. You then looked across the room seeing that the door was slightly cracked open. A small smirk came across your lips as an escape plan from boredom started to form in your mind. Looking around again your smile vanished when you see the prince was looking at you with his head sitting on his hand, with a bored expression, a brow raised. ‘Maybe he would like to escape too.’ You then looked to the door, then back, then looked to the door again. He looked confused. Letting out a sigh and pointed down and started to slowly slide out of your chair to hide under the table. Atem slowly followed, once he disappeared under the table he looks to you.
“Follow me.” You whispered, and began to crawl, and setting your plan into motion. Atem smirked finally understanding, and followed.
“Well I think that will cover enough of the wedding plans for now. So for now you’re free to go.” The Pharaoh and your father looked to where you were sitting to see a dotted out line of your body, and the Pharaoh looked to where his son was sitting to see the same.
“What where is [Y/n, and Atem]!?” Your father and the Pharaoh looked to your mother, who was only smiling innocently.
“Oh they both snuck out a couple hours ago.”
“WHAT!? Why didn’t you say anything?”
“Because probably what they were thinking, and I agree, this was boring.”
Things have become awkward as both of you and Atem silently walked down the long halls.
‘Ra damn it [y/n]! Say something!’ You glanced at Atem to see that he once again looked bored.
“Hmm?” Atem looks down at you and you instantly lose all ability to speak.Your cheeks turned a rosy red and you averted your eyes to the floor again. Atem raised a brow. “You don’t talk much do you?” You shook your head. Atem let out a sigh. “Would you like to go to the palace garden?” Your head shot up and you looked towards Atem with wide eyes. Again you shook your head.
~time skip to garden~
You smiled at the various kinds of flowers.
“Th-this is a r-really beautiful garden.” You studdard.
“Thank you.” You knelt down to sniff a white flower. You paused when you felt something bump against your leg, looking down you see that it was a ball. When you picked it up a small boy came from around a bush looking at the ball in your hands. You smiled, standing and walking over to the child.
“Here this is your’s right?” The child smiled.
“Thank you Miss.” The boy took the ball and ran off. Atem raised a brow.
‘Interesting.’ Thought Atem.
