TBS :: Olive

• Heavy Sleeper   "Zzzzz...zzz...z.z....."    Olive is a very heavy sleeper; when she dozes off it can be nearly impossible to wake her; this causes her to be late often. When Olive is tired she usually does not hesitate to find a place to curl up and take a nap. She constantly blames this on not feeling well due to her tenancy to be sick, but no one can be entirely sure if that is really the complete truth. 

•  Unresponsive    "..... Sorry I didn't hear you.."    Olive won't hear what she does not want to hear. If an older cat tells her to wake up and take care of a chore or do something useful she will pretend she did not hear them and then blame it on a problem with her sinus or simply pretend to be sick. Although, with age, Olive is beginning to do this less and no longer minds collecting herbs. She will mainly avoid chores if they involve learning things that she already knows. 

• Dedicated    "He's hurt?! Hold on, I'll get the cobwebs"    In emergencies Olive falls into a panicked state where she wakes up; she is very careful handling patients and she usually won't sleep or eat until she has done everything she can. After a long period of helping injured or sick cats Olive will crash and sleep for a while; when she wakes up she is usually particularly crabby, but it is all worth it in the end because Olive loves to know that she is able to really help other cats.

• Timid    "Please! Don't hurt me! I'm not a warrior!"    Although Olive has no problem acting sarcastic and lying to other cats the second she is physically threatened she becomes very scared and more likely to comply with what they ask of her, and after everything she saw at the gathering when the followers first made their appearance this trait has grown much more prominent, especially around toms - she thinks they're scarier!

• Skiddish     "..Stay back.. Please!"    Once someone has threatened Olive, or if they simply look like a scarred, well trained warrior she will avoid them. When pranks are pulled on her she always jumps to the conclusion that someone is out to hurt her and will run away or hide somewhere. If the pranksters are revealed she usually retorts with some sarcastic remark to defend herself.

• Sarcastic    "Was I sleeping? No,  I was just laying down and doing chores. Duh."     When Olive doesn't feel threatened by a cat who confronts her she often replies sarcastically. This trait goes hand in hand with her unresponsiveness, as she sometimes can use her sarcasm to pretend she did not hear someone. She also uses her sarcasm to hide how she really feels, for example, if Olive feels like she might cry, she will just act coldly to the cats around her so that they'll see her as tough and not as someone that they can push around.

• Good Listener     "I'm, um, I-I'm so sorry about that..."    As a healer rookie Olive thinks that it is part of her job to listen to other cat's problems... she isn't always as sensitive as she should be, and she often feels awkward hearing about another cat's emotional issues, but she will do what she can to make them feel comfortable and get their feeling out (she likes this because she can lay down and be lazy while listening.. its one of the better jobs of a healer for her!) She is also the kind of cat that will keep a secret, unless she thinks that it might cause her physical harm in the future to do so.

• Family Oriented     "My best friends are Pan and Kyn and Jack and Jennifer, they're my littermates!"    Olive may not admit it to just anyone, but she loves family. As a kit she was distant from her littermates due to her illness, but after everything that her family went through she has grown closer to all of them, especially her brothers, Panthaleon and Kynzikaa.

• Paranoid     "T-the.... the followers might be.. might be out there... I-... I don't want to go alone..."     After the followers mutilated her elder sister by leaving a large scar in her eye and raided the North Region's camp and kidnapped Olive's younger adoptive siblings, the kits of Iorek and her old guide Glendower, as well as the kittens of Castor and Annora, she is terrified that they might come for her next. She does not like the idea of being alone even though she can be sassy and sour at times.

• Delicate     "...I-...I can't.. I just can't..."     Having been sickly as a kitten, and then having been defeated by an electrical elemental follower during the Kitten raids Olive has had to come face-to-face with her own mortality. She worries about what could happen to her if she were to get in danger again, and therefore she acts like she is delicate and breakable. 

• Hopeless Romantic     "D-...do you think Wes will protect me if the followers ever come after me again?"     When Olive started to care about her appearance and groom her pelt she ran into different toms on multiple occasions, which awakened the romantic side of her. She daydreams about finding true love, about having a tom who will protect her whenever she is in danger, who will cuddle with her every night and keep her warm, who will look after her when she is sick, and who can always be by her side.

Roleplay Sample

Olive lifted her dark-furred ears, her eyes narrowing as she caught the small sound of paws landing on the snow-covered ground. She turned her head quickly towards the sound and, through a thicket of brambles, was able to make out the faint shape of another feline on the other side of her border. 'Who is that?' she thought, lowering her ears, feeling scared, 'They don't look big enough to be a full grown cat... I hope they don't smell me... I hope they're not a Warrior rookie....'. The she-cat narrowed her eyes a little more to try to see better.
