Skeleton reference
Here is a reference I drew for a project I am working on in my course. Its based on one of my previous worked called "Melting away"

Today we visited Mc Clelland sculpture park/gallery, we firstly went to the gallery for an around half an hour to look at various landscape artworks which were all different and unique in their own way. Some were really detailed where as some were really abstract or minimalistic, demonstrating how people interpret things differently or how they wish to represent it. One work in particular demonstrated the process one of the artists went through to do her work in which she was in the environment but in the worst weather for her to be able to produce something accurate, the wind was blowing over her easel and herself along with. This work is more of a way to make the weather a part of the process and aesthetic, not just the artist painting it. There was also various aboriginal works which added in how other cultures interpret the land. After looking at the gallery we were then free to walk around the park and look at all the sculptures, there was a wide range of styles and feelings to each work. I in particular liked the rams skull and street crossing put in the bush. The ram’s skull reminded me of the farm I used to live on in my childhood and the street crossing had a more apocalyptic feel to it, as if the environment is taking over the environment we have made for ourselves. I found this park to be interesting and gave me a better idea on how sculptures can be created, what they can be made up of and what they can be.

Peter Capaldi sketch
