Description
Is there a category for book cover illustration, or have I missed it entirely?
Here's a project I've been wanting to share for a while now, and since the books only hit the shelves in the last couple of months (in the UK and Australia, that is) I'm free and clear to throw these up for you to look at.
This is the first cover illustration out of four that I completed for Kristen Britain's "Green Rider" fantasy series, published by the Orion Publishing Group / Gollancz in London. For those of you wanting to see the full cover as seen on the books, you can check them out on Amazon: [link] I'll probably be posting up the finished covers as they appear when I get my files. The format of this illustration is due to the fact that it was envisioned to wrap around to the back cover, in case it looks awkward here on its own without the text and other elements. (Now I wonder if I've forgotten to add any other bits of information...)
Check out the cover for the second book, "First Rider's Call" here: Because it's my favorite of the four. Go!
Good ol' pencils on vellum bristol. And several hours of work!

Late to the game on this, but someone just posted an image of the cover. OMG this is the most beautiful pegasus I've ever seen. ❤️
