Description

Dimorphodon.
Meaning of name: Two types of teeth.
Species: D. macronyx.
Classification: ‬Pterosauria, ‭ ‬Dimorphodontidae, ‭ ‬Dimorphodontinae.
‬Time period: Hattengian to Sinemurian stages of the Early Jurassic.
Distribution: Southern England.
Wingspan: 1.4m.
Lifestyle: Insectivore.
Background is photo of River Exe Estuary, South West England plus a Scelidosaurus.

Because I read that there is no evidence of crests on Dimorphodontidae & that it is common on birds with deep beaks to use them for display, they suggested that Dimorphodon may have been similar. I have attempted to recreate this with brightly coloured reptilian fenestra.
