I think my biggest disappointment in the JP franchise is that it never included an Edmontosaurus. What dinosaur or prehistoric animal are you disappointed never made an appearance?

If you're in Colorado this summer, make sure and stop by the Dinosaur Journey Museum in Fruta, Colorado for their "Horns and Frills" Exhibition

The museum acquired rights to a several of my images to accompany their skeletal displays, including mural-sized reproductions of my Nasutoceratops and Diabloceratops images, and large-sized reproductions of my Ceratopsian comparative charts.

More information about the exhibition in the links above, and coming here soon.
Heading to Costa Rica to check out properties and possible relocation. Thanks to all my watchers for their favorites and for following.

This has been a good quarter. I've done illustrations for 6 books, 2 magazines, 2 paleontologists. 5 more books lined up for summer, and two more collaborations with paleontologists. On the development front, I'm working on models of Troodon (updating), Limusaurus, and Anzu. Feeling the need to fill out my Devonian fish more, and also paleogene mammals.

Prehistoric Super Predators
An admittedly arbitrary collection of Mesozoic creatures that were the top predators in their ecosystem. Granted, Spinosaurus may not have been as aggressive as Carcharodontosaurus, but tell that to the fish it ate (different ecosystems). More for fun than anything.

Your art is amazing but I would strongly recommend using more modern rendering techniques (Global illumination, subsurface scattering, etc...)
These look like renderings from the early 2000s.
Free software now is way past solving the lighting difficulties that the most expensive software had at that time.
What 3D program do you use?

I only rarely see work of your caliber, and I believe you may have raised the bar a bit, even over the best of them.  I don't suppose you take requests, do you?

Your dinosaur charts are lovely but their size makes them difficult to view. Is there a way you could try making the charts a bit smaller? I can control scroll to make my page smaller but it's still a bit of a hassle.
