Maybe ONE RULE: You must have fun. I do.
When I posted most of my stock I asked for a link, credit, the usual. But since then I've been making photo manipulation art much more and I realized it can be kind of a pain. You don't have to do that. Just don't claim something you didn't do as your own. It injures your own integrity. And it makes you the turd in the pool. Yep, it is that offensive to the rest of us swimming around.

It is helpful to share links. That is how I've found some of the best stock. It brings more awareness of the talent of the artist who uses them, and the creative person who saw possibilities in something around them, or took the time to design and share them.

If you visit my journals here in paintress eye, I used them mostly to feature stock providers, great artists in their own right. And of course artists who found interesting uses for what I've called my stock.

I'm not around here as much these days ~ but I still keep FOUR dA accounts going. I share my life in words on = HisHeartToMine...mainly for keeping my own journaling where I can find it. That is, on my laptop. Does anyone else lose things like I do? I can't keep track of one pretty journal at a time. There is no continuity in my handwritten journals as I usually have about half a dozen of those going at one time. If you read this far you may notice I have a touch of A.D.D. A curse and a blessing.

I am a full time free lance artist. ainter: Commissioned portraits of dogs and people, plus art for covers [book, CD, etc] and over the past ten years a ton *literally* aLmoSt of gallery art. I specialize in watercolor which has to be framed with glass so it does get to be weighty to do exhibits.

Through dA art I discovered Ball Jointed Dolls and currently they are my main obsession. Generally I use my bjd account for when I want to trade or sell a doll or doll item. And to store thousands of doll specific favorites. I may give that account a more artistic/photographic slant in the not too distant future. I seriously need a better camera though. I burned out the little one I used to take most of these pictures.
