Submission Quick-guide

As painters is a media-based group, our most important rule is that it's in a wet media, and more than likely applied with a brush (or spread with an instrument.) I accept anything as long as it abides by DA's T&C (help) so please be aware that the subject matter of the paintings herein do not reflect my views, the views of the group, or the views of DA. After that we ask that you:

:bulletblue: Submit your paintings to the folder with the current year (currently '2019'), and all tutorials to the Tutorials folder.
:bulletblue: Include the media in the description, title, or tags.
:bulletblue: Have your painting in the Traditional Art > Paintings category (exceptions are made for Fan Art, etc.)
:bulletblue: Crop your photograph so that only the painting is visible. If you would like a thorough step-by-step process on how you can achieve a great looking photograph of your painting, please click here for an online tutorial.
:bulletblue: We only accept one painting per day.
:bulletblue: I only do one upload a day, so please be patient.

There are a few more rules that clarify works in mixed media and other materials, please read through our full Join & Submission Guideline to learn more. Thank you and happy painting!

Hello and welcome to painters. We're a traditional art group that focuses entirely on painting media.

If you would like more information on how to join and what media we accept please read our Join & Submission Rules. We accept all ranges of talent - from novice to professional. We'd love to have you among our ranks.

We're looking for help!

:note: If you're interested in any of the following, please note limnides with the following information: the position you're interested in, plus the reason why you're interested. For journal and content providers, please provide a rough idea of what kind of content you're planning on offering.

Member secretary
Role: Review galleries, accept/decline join requests.

Role: Review pending paintings to make sure they fulfil Submission Rules. Accept daily paintings into our gallery.

Journal and Content Providers
Role: Create journals and content within the journalling system. Content will be determined through providers proposal but could include: member features, group/single features, tutorials, interviews, art history journals, etc. When applying for this position, please submit a proposal of the type of features you would like to offer.

As with all this positions, we will be more than happy to accept more than one person.
Hello all,

Profoundest apologies for the lack of content over the last year. I would go into detail about where I was or why things ended up the way they did, but I'd rather not.

Many many many thankyous to both Orphicallygenous and drwhofan that took over in my absence, as well as all of you kind folks who have been so very patient with us.

I've accepted all currently active requests and updated the gallery to reflect the new year.

A lot of the reason why this group moves so slowly (even in its best times) is because of the strict rules that we have mapped out: we check each and every painting for a number of things, we check each and every member request too. Besides this we also always leave a response as to why something may be declined.

What I would like to know from you, the members, is, do you like this approach? If yes, that's awesome! If no, can you tell us why and what you would like to see from us in the future?

What we currently have-
1 deviation per day per folder (1 for 2019 / 1 for Tutorials [although this does get abused])
Set to 1 Vote
Upload in batches once per day

What we can do-
Almost anything! Some ideas:
We can set the group to auto-accept, although that means that some works will not be appropriate for the gallery (drawings, photographs, and the like are regular offenders)
We can upload as we see them come through (these means it's a bit easier to access for the admins, although that means that you'll continually receive deviations perhaps throughout the day)

We would like to hear your thoughts (the good, the bad, the ugly.)

I really do hope that this finds everyone well.

So, my last five submission since July as expired. It's time for me to leave the group.
It seems that the Re Activation doesn't work as well.
This was really a great group. :tears:

Sending again my artwork? The last i sent (May 4th) has "expired", I wonder why..
I fear I renounce to belong to the group. Begging for some exhibition isn't my style. Sorry!I regret.
