Description
"Double Vision" (colored pencils and ink on paper). From my art show on Ustream called "Draw the Line".
M.C. Escher is one of my favorite artist and I was inspired to do this double vision tribute to the amazing artist. In this, the same guy is seen on the left from above and the right from below. Two different perspectives in the same space. The three fish on the left are matched with the three birds on the right and add to the tribute of the artist known for mixing the two in the same space. The line of the balcony is the thing that connects these two. If you take a paper and cover one side or the other then you have two distinct perspectives and yet the balcony connects them both nicely at the same time.
