My Bio
Hi, my name is Jim Green. I'm a self taught professional artist from Austin Texas, now living in another city. I've been doing art since I was 3. I was "discovered" by a Professor of Art at the University of Texas in Austin in the 7th grade, where one of my drawings was used as a proper example of how to do a drawing for his art classes. I've had many solo and group exhibits and my art work is seen world wide on my other website. Many of my works are in private collections and many are owned by celebrities. I do portraits and other works on commission and sell my original one of a kinds. My primary mediums are pencil, pen and ink and oil paints. I consider myself a "thinking" artist as many of my works are symbolic pieces, but I'm just as comfortable to doing a sunset.

I'm re-posting this. It sort of speaks of how I feel these days.
The tree and the flowers
In a field there was a tree and a bunch of flowers.
The tree was old, bent from age.
But his branches reached far, and he had seen many seasons come and go.
His roots were strong and even the strongest wind couldn't bring him down.
Next to him was a bunch of pretty flowers in full bloom.
New to the field.
They laughed and taunted the tree
They said, "Look at us, we are so young, so pretty."
"We smell sweet and everyone who stops looks at us."
"Not at you old tree."
Time went on and at the end of the season the flowers wilted and died awa

They never sell crayons with just one color in the box.
And the rainbow is not just the color blue
Think how boring the world would be if everything was gray
Think about how this would effect me and you.
Do you think you would notice the beauty of a glade
Or the puffiness of the clouds up above.
Do you think that people would like to live in gray?
Do you think that it would still be filled with love.
How lucky we are to have all the colors
All the colors of the world for us to see
I'm so glad that they sell more than just one color
With no colors how boring would the world be?
