Just showcasing and storing images made from AI generators. You know, that scourge thing. The styles are varied, as well as the tonality. A cute kitty parade one image and a brutal zombie-apocalypse the next. Which can admittedly be a bit schizophrenic. But linearity is an illusion, and one I don't wish to indulge 😄
So, I suppose due to the seeming indignance and fury of at least some, this must be addressed - I don't consider myself to be an artist. There is usually editing (via Affinity) and altering done, though.
Regarding whether AI can be art or not - I really don't care. Sincerely. Arguing about what is and is not 'Art' with a capital A is the epitome of snobbery. It's also literally one of the most tired debates in the existence of humanity. Aristotle talked about such things, and there are art purists everywhere. On a spectrum of what even constitutes the definition of the term - including those who reject digital art in general. Which seems to be the medium of many of the most vocal naysayers. So injecting an objective definition on the literal goto example of subjectivity is stupid.
And yet, I also acknowledge it is the apex of what it actually means to be human, to a great many. So I'm not unsympathetic to that, and even agree with it in certain facets. I'm in no way sold unadulteratedly on this rigid definition though. Especially as again, varying degrees of true human interaction is also a spectrum - from cave paintings to photography to photoshop. (Yes, I understand the nuance of human control for focusing on a camera, and the amount of effort photoshop can take, etc. But denying the differences of separation between the artist and the medium is disingenuous as well. At least from a purists perspective)
Regardless of all of the philosophical and semantical angles, I'm enjoying the software. And that should frankly be enough. To think people should stop because you don't like its existence, or that vicarious negative reinforcement is the way to stop the inevitable, would mean I could eradicate trap rap and Football. But alas, they are here to stay.
And I do respect 'real' artists, they obtain a craftsmanship I shall never have. There just doesn't need to be a battle between the mediums.
Anyway, hope you enjoy some of the bombardment of Random imagery.
PS. Regarding a few questions that keep coming up -
1. My username is a Mark Twain reference
2. I absolutely without question don't want to sell my works via NFTs, so please don't ask. And ditto for murals. Wish these scams didn't exist, wish NFTs didn't, and for the most part wish crypto didn't even exist.
3. I've frequently been asked if I am religious. Probably because I utilize religious symbolism of all kinds (both with reverence, as well as true sacrilege), occasionally. Sometimes contradictorily. The answer is no, I am not. My viewpoint is a somewhat unique amalgam of esoteric perennialism alongside an archetypal shamanism. I find theology quite interesting though, and have read numerous religious and philosophical texts.
I may hold barbed opinions towards certain organized approaches, and especially of the social and political control often inexorably linked with such things - but spirituality is amongst the deepest part of someone. So, as long as the religious approach is not seeped in judgment, division, forced assimilation, fear, etc - My response is Namaste.
4. I don't check 'Notes', ever. I succumbed to all the Spam, and learned to live with the perpetual note alert. It shouldn't be this way, but if you send me something through Notes, it will remain in the ether.
5. Almost all of my music, while filtered/changed with Ai, was seeded by my Garageband uploads, of which I actually play at least one instrument, or sang on. Most of the time they are completed rough drafts/covers of past songs I made.
6. For the most part, I don't try and profit off of my work. All images are free to download, and I don't charge for subscriptions or anything. Which hurts me algorithmically. I do have a modest, rarely updated Redbubble store, as I wanted tangible items of my own stuff. But let me know if there's a piece or anything you'd like, and I'll add it : )
Thank you for the support! May your next attempt to plug in a USB work on the first try, defying all known laws.
Thanks for the favs ^^
Thank you favoriting.
