Another day for the breakfast 5

Another day for the breakfast, they let me come closer day by day to take photo's.

Breakfast for the magpies is taken with a Manual focus 180mm F2,8 Ernst Leitz Wetzlar Elmarit lens on the small Fuji XE3 body.

This chunky lens + adapter is over 1,4 kilo (about 3 times the XE3 body) which makes it hard to handle in holding and taking aim and at the same time trying to focus and hold still.

Will be uploading some photo's in the days to come , from the 3 juvenile magpies that visit our garden on daily base for their breakfast.

Our Cat Putty finds it amusing to look at.

could try, , they already capable of coming within a few meters of me.

but on the other hand i want to have some distance, so i can see what the neighbouring cats are doing and where they are, for the safety of the magpies.

This morning after coffee and cat-breakfast, i let putty into the garden and heard a small miauw of a cat, found that poekie the cat of the opposite neighbour had managed to climb the steep aluminium ladder lening to the shed onto the roof and carport, above the breakfast table in the garden.

he thought he had a good spot for observing the magpies however he could not come down since the ladder is to steep, and dared not to jump due to the height.

So i had to climb the steep ladder , take poekie in my arms and bring him down safe.

Poekie was verry content .

So before giving the magpies breakfast have to make sure there are no cats in hiding.

Love cats, and love magpies! and keep them both save.

greetings len.
