Markers, pens, and coffee. The coffee only went into me, not on the paper.

There is a real beauty about viewing other people's views on the world and their stylistic interpretation.

Technically your style is great, you'd have no problem having your work used commercially. Everything is clear and well communicated – good humour too.

Your lettering looks as though you've done it by hand. It's unique and beautiful too. The flat colour in the background doesn't detract from the characters in the foreground. One question; where did the blade of grass go behind the little dude?

As with all art there's always room for improvement. I encourage you to keep going, you're doing a fantastic job.

Hey, I appreciate the critique! Thanks!

Um, to answer your question about the grass blade I'm afraid I don't have a completely simple answer. I kinda touched on it in my journal. I'm a believer in never repeating an object in a comic. The background becomes a kind of static dreamscape and is subject to changes like these. When an object changes shape or disappears altogether it's done intentionally in my case. I see the background in a more fluid sense and it becomes like a character itself. Anyhoo, I hope that helps clear it up.

Very nice comic. I like the sentiment, and I appreciate the euphoric colors.

Thanks, I'm particularly fond of this one myself. Magpies are my personal favorite bird and it horrified me in a comical way to think that a bird would not distinguish between a food and a poet.
