Thank you for the critique and your words of inspiration. I took the original photo and just blew it up a bit and from the photo copy I just pressed hard on an outline I was going to use from the human figure. Lord knows I have real skill on drawing out human figures so to cut corners I just photo copy the image I'm going to use (with of course the permission of the subject I'm doing the drawing of). Once I have that down I go nuts on the tribal lines which I don't have a clue what I'm doing I just go with is and build layer upon layer.
I'm sorry about the water mark but sometimes you never know who is going to use your works and call it there own. Even though they can probably mess with the image, I try to make it hard for them to use it.
I agree, red and black work so well together but this piece I had to add one other color which was purple since her boots had some purple in it and I know that's her favorite color had to add that color in her boots and on the top of the piece.
