There are some inspired times in my life, when I get a camera and end up with photos I like a lot. I rarely ever take photos as souvenirs. I use my eyes to enjoy nice or strange places and things at the moment they come to my experience and then move on to what comes next. I make photos of places and things for the sake of being creative, playful, deviant with my percepts.
At rare times I like to photoshop the result, possibly to get some detail that was lost by my imperfect exposure settings. In the past I used to print my own black&white films and loved to play around with various contrast papers in the darkroom, though multigrade Ilford was always a fast solution. Now fixing contrast is just clicks and sliders, test, undo, test again, and got it.
I am Greek, though apart from my love for philosophizing and cooking, I feel being a very atypical one. I have lived in various places outside of Greece, like the USA, Austria, Germany and have lived for more than a decade in Uruguay. So apart from Greek and English which I use fluently, I understand fairly well German and Spanish, but would rather answer in English here. Oh, and somewhere along the line I have also learned some French.
