Spent an hour or so in photoshop playing with an oil effect.. well, trying to create one anyway...

Turns out the best way is to create a really blurry graphic with a black-> white gradient, chrome filter it, then duplicate the layer, chuck on some plastic wrap and set it to overlay the chrome layer, add some colour and voila! " Ye Gawt yerself en oil slick " =) (Smile)

cool. if i were you, i would blurr some of the edges. some are really sharp and ugly from wutever distortion filter you used.
