A legacy passed on

The second person to wear the mantle of Estrella Brillante (Shining Star). This is a variant of the original costume, which was just all silver. I have a bunch of Puerto Rican heroes & then I noticed that they were predominantly male. So instead of just outright gender swapping them, I wrote it into the origin story. I based the character's physical look on my then fiancé, who is not boricua, which I also wrote into the story. All this, back in the mid-90s, before gender swapping became vogue.
