“The secret of happiness is freedom.
The secret of freedom is courage.”
(words by Thucydides, because the ancient Greeks were some wise and awesome fellows!)
This is my little ode to freedom. Freedom is not a luxury, it is a physical need. Everyone deserves to go wherever they want, to make whatever future plans they want, and to be whoever they want. Be like the little fairy: she has lots of plans, she is cheerful and optimistic, unbound to anything.
So, no matter how big the world may seem or how small you are: have faith in your wings to carry you across the oceans and over mountains. Be brave! There is so much to see, to learn and to discover in this world – pinpoint your goal and just go!
(Text by Börries Freiherr von Münchhausen, 1936. Please listen to Faun’s song based on this poem, for in my opinion it is the most beautiful German song in the world. This link includes the English translation in the description: www.youtube.com/watch?v=T8FRAC…. Thank you.)

What Thucydides said is very true. If people weren't afraid to live out their lives they wanted, then people can attain true happiness within themselves and others around them. If only more people know this...
Absolutely. In whatever situation, fear would only hold people back. Courage to fight it is the only answer. I still think though that happiness is not a goal 'an sich'. People can be too occupied by trying to become happy. Sometimes things happen in life that makes it impossible to be happy at that moment. But it is always a possibility to be brave, so I guess that matters more
(Heyy I'm Suzanne and this is the account that I use now, I didn't watch you on here yet )
Edit: Great song as well! I used to dislike German as a language when I was younger, then I found Faun and they showed me that it was actually quite beautiful and didn't have to sound harsh at all. Now I quite love German and Germany, the forests there give me such a special feeling like you can still sense the ''old world'' there if you know what I mean.
(Wow, how many accounts do you have by now? )
I know right? Definitely it was because of Faun that I realized that German can be in fact a very beautiful language. Their singing make it sound so soft and ancient. I surely know what you mean Hm, time to visit Germany once again...
Yes I definitely want to return there sometime in the near future. I would still like to visit Neuschwanstein someday. And Château de Pierrefonds in France, it's magical.
Also, one of the best songs for wanderers and explorers ever made : )
