I love playing this game. This is a very cool picture. There are very few things I dislike about this, but I'll still say both sides of what I think .

What I like:
-The characters. It's like a father-son moment, and both of their poses are very cool.
-The trees in the background. They really look like it's part of the scene and they really look like they're a far distance away.
-The dirt from the rhino
-The plants in the foreground

What I think you can improve on:
-The shading on Diddy. He looks a little bit like a 2-D figure from my point of view
-The dirt on the cliff. It doesn't look as realistic as the rest of the picture from my view. I can just see the different paint spots that make it up.

Overall: I love it! Gratz on D.D. and keep it up! I love this game

This is awesome but i think that you should work a little bit more the eyes or the face of the rinocent(i dont know how to say the name of the beast in english) becouse as i remember the face in the game is some kind of funny, maybe you should put the tung outside like in the game when u leave the controll withou pushing any buttom, but the whole concept and your technikes are unique, keep going love it a lot. I saw your other works and you are amazing, the impact in the images are explendid! and remember my childhood.

For some reason, there's something both oddly beautiful and yet heartwarming here. Even though I know in context of what this is about, my mind this of another tale.
As if it's a dusk day, a father ape journeys with his young son with their rhinosarous ride. The young child finds a vine and with a smile of excitement he leaps for it, as his father warmly smiles as he knows, his son shall one day be as great at him.

It's surreally cute to see Diddy jump for the vine like an exciting little monkey he is.

Very cool redesign of the side-scrolling action of Donkey Kong Country. Very smooth details and colors too.

I was just at Video Games Live at Red Rocks (a paid concert) and they used a couple of your art pieces. I am unsure if you are aware of them using them. I 100% recognized this one during their Donkey Kong Country segment, and one or two others as well (possibly your Zelda work). Again, this was a paid show so they are making money off you work.

You can find their website here:…

I just thought I would bring this to your attention as you do have a write as an artist.

Thx, are you sure ?

Yes. 100% sure.
I tried to take a video, but my Camera quality isn't the best. I was able to get some of the image (mainly the outlines of the basic shapes in the image). But yes, I am 100% sure.

When I saw this image, I thought it odd to be showing up in a paid show.

I will post the video footage I have. Otherwise there were plenty of people there and if someone uploads the Donkey Kong Country segment, I will link it.

I found a video of it on youtube, indeed you're right. They used a bunch of fanarts to illuustrate the music
Flam1ngDem0n's avatar
Did they ask you for permission to use your work at a paid concert? Or did they just take it?
Orioto's avatar
they didn't ask anyone
Flam1ngDem0n's avatar
Well crap. That's stupid of them.

Well if you take legal action, I hope you win. Because as an artist myself, I don't believe art theft of any kind is an "ok" thing.

I won't probably do that, some internet shaming works better and it's free^^

This was the first game we got for our Super Nintendo! I always sucked at the game so my brothers always hogged it, so my dad was the only one who would play with me. He was always Donkey Kong cause Donkey Kong wore the tie and it was still always fun to play! We got along best when we played these games oddly enough.
