Cool Warmth

A detail of Mont Peney, a mountain of Savoie, France. The southern cliff contains caves (one can be seen on the lower left) in which flint remains and a Neolithic human skeleton have been found, as well as rock paintings dating from the Bronze Age which testify to an ancient human presence in this part of the Bauges mountains. It has an elevation of 1,356 metres (4,449 ft) above sea level.
