Hi! I was just glancing through your site to see what had changed since I last looked at it, since I was linking it to someone who asked where I'd gotten a certain piece of headgear I wear daily... a hat I commissioned from you fine folks about... I want to say 3 years ago? Maybe 4? It's the Alchemical Cowboy Hat. I wear it every day to work and almost every customer who walks in complements it. I now keep a little stack of bits of paper with your website address written on them tucked away behind the register because SO many people want to know where I got it.
Anyway, I saw that you had a photograph of it on your site! That's pretty cool, it's a better photo than any I've managed to get of it, but what struck me as something fascinatingly coincidental enough to be worth noting here is that the woman modeling it... despite having most of her face hidden below the brim... otherwise looks EXACTLY like my mother did 28 years, 363 days, 4 hours, and 36 minutes ago when she obligingly gave me entry into this world. Perhaps it would be different if you could see more of her face, but the way she's photographed, the resemblance is UNCANNY.
Also, as a testament to the quality of your work, this hat is still in pretty much the same condition it was in when I got it in the mail. The inner lining is a bit stained from wear, obviously, and a little of the rubbery stuff you make these with has worn down where the interior of the hat touches my head, but otherwise the damn thing's proven to be as indestructibly ageless as any piece of clothing or jewelry I've ever owned and worn on such a constant basis.
