So...as I was learning about AI and how to make prompts with Midjourney in 2024 and I made as massive set of gothic emo queens with this kind of dark renaissance sort of vibe. The quality of the set was poor even for 2024 because I was just starting with prompts and AI. But found a way to filter the original versions to create a lovely, updated set in 2025 and uploaded them here on DA but they didn't sell well due to.... well, they are perceived as spam and... they kind of where but its only half true.
There is sometimes a problem with perception when dealing with AI art. When you see many images of the same type and look very similar and placed next to each other or with a same simple name you subconsciously will believe that these images have little or no value. What you don't see is a story of how and why the artist made this set or what was going on in their life at the time.
Many viewers do not know or care to think that it took me about 1 whole month to make the original set off 300 images and the hundreds of other images I rejected due to terrible quality due to my poor prompting skill at the time. Then I learned of a process to make each image look better it was also time consuming as each one was done from a cell phone. then I upscaled them 1 at a time that took forever...all 155 of these on a Walmart bought android phone. then uploaded them to da....and they didn't sell at all.
That's also not counting the hours spent chatting the person I used as inspiration for the set. teaching myself through trial and error how to build a very crude prompt. The pain I was in at the time after escaping a dangerous and abusive boyfriend and also loosing all my friends. coming back home to my deathly sick mother with only 7 grand to my name and now owning 5 grand to my cousin. Needless to say i was in a bad spot in my life and was looking for something to focus on while i process everything
And this brings me to bit more of the story with a tangent/ rant/ explanation
My friends or the people I thought where my friends at the time where making fun of me and calling me names because I was learning to make AI art and talking to many women who do adult content and learning that business vs going at getting a "job" ( I made next to nothing in 2024 so you can imagine the ridicule i got). but For or some reason i tried to sell my art on snapcahat for whatever scraps of cash i could get and got tones of hate there also. i started to recognize i was a proverbial crab in a bucket. and i needed to rise above the kind of honestly...looser who said i can't succeed. i finally realized I'm better than the people i was surrounding myself with. that i have untapped gifts.
funny thing is used to jump on DA along time ago to look at art but just never thought to come here.

I'm going to eventually earn 150k usd a year with AI art.

as of now im earning more off AI than my main hater has at his job as a general dollar shift manager and im so much happier than him now lol. is it petty to rub it in his face? yes. does it feel good...oh yeah XD
for those of you who think it's not possible to earn that kind of money or are a AI hater who thinks I'm not a artist because i used prompts instead of a brush or are one of those clowns who said i shouldn't teach others what i have learned to do...

If you think I can't achieve my dream what does that say about you?
Why have you not achieved your dreams? if you are nay saying me in 2026 will you come to me in 2028 asking me to teach you how to earn a living in AI?
