Beyond familiarity

Step outside long after the sun has gone down and look up. If you catch at least a partial view of what surrounds us here in physical space, take a moment to plant yourself firmly to the ground. Release all cyclical thought patterns, irritations, lists or anything else that has your awareness trapped. Go inward to find presence and yourself, then push your awareness outwards in all directions to the frontiers of infinity. Now that you have escaped the bounds of familiarity, let your gaze slip back to your eyes. Allow yourself to star at the stars with the same wonder you once experienced as a child. Now you truly see.
