1.What is Community Relations?
deviantART's Community Relations Team provides a unique collective effort that seeks to create and sustain collaborative relationships among deviants and to develop innovative opportunities within the global art industry. These relationships are meant to provide and encourage opportunities to foster creative genius.  The CR Team acts as a window of information for the community on how to utilize deviantART in a way that will empower and enable themselves as respect

Staff Appreciation Interview: @leaf-lover
For Staff Appreciation Day (Oct. 16th) I've done a series of Interviews with several members of dA staff. I hope you all enjoy!
Interview with leaf-lover.
1. How did you come up with your deviantART nickname?
Unfortunately it's a very boring answer; I don't really remember!  I think I may have seen a couple of the plant shots and thought 'wow those are awesome'.  Contrary to some opinion, I am not a hippie nor am I an advertisement for weed. ;)
2. What is your role on deviantART and what do you enjoy most about it?
In short, my role, along with all the other spritzy MN@ is to ensure the chatrooms and forums are running smoothly and safely.  Without a doubt my favourite part is the interacting with deviants live, on a one-to-one basis.  I really enjoy the helping aspect of it too; it's rewarding knowing you've helped someone understand the site better.
3. How did you find about deviantArt and what made you decide to join?
I was browsing :devm

Staff Appreciation Interview: @martypunker
For Staff Appreciation Day (Oct. 16th) I've done a series of Interviews with several members of dA staff. I hope you all enjoy!
Interview with martypunker.
1. How did you come up with your deviantART nickname?
On Five Iron Frenzy's B-side album, they had a song called "Marty". The opening lines were, "Marty was a punk rocker, he went to all the shows/with patches on Swiss Army pants and two rings in his nose." Being a FIF fan and liking the words to that song, I made a Yahoo! name, martythepunkrocker. This, however, is rather long, and some sites wouldn't take it as a username, so I shortened it to martypunker. Voila! (For the record, my real name is Chris, thanks.)
2. What is your role on deviantART and what do you enjoy most about it?
I mostly focus on moderating the forums, though I do occasionally help in the chatrooms (which generally ends in failure). My favourite part of this is locking threads, honestly, not because of a "power trip" or anything, I just like to think that

Staff Appreciation Interview: $godofodd
For Staff Appreciation Day (Oct. 16th) I've done a series of Interviews with several members of dA staff. I hope you all enjoy!
Interview with godofodd.
1. How did you come up with your deviantART nickname?
I was "blacksheep" and half a dozen varieties ("blacksheep8", etc.) since I first started using the 'net in '94. I stuck it out for the better part of six years until I just couldn't handle the sheer number of blacksheeps out there. I've always somewhat of a superiority complex, so "godofodd" stuck out as a good one. The only other godofodd you'll find on the 'net is some doofus on MySpace. Despite the name, I'm just about the most normal person you'll meet.
2. What is your role on deviantART and what do you enjoy most about it?
My official title is Prints Quality Control Technician. Along with MidnightExigent, I review submitted and purchased prints for technical quality; pixelation, digital noise, cropped text, etc.. It's not nearly as glamorous as it sounds, but I really e

Staff Appreciation Interview: $Morris88
For Staff Appreciation Day (Oct. 16th) I've done a series of Interviews with several members of dA staff. I hope you all enjoy!
Interview with Morris88.
1. How did you come up with your deviantART nickname?
See Artist's Comments for "Dinosaur of Light" http://Morris88.deviantart.com/art/Dinosaur-of-Light-96914411
2. What is your role on deviantART and what do you enjoy most about it?
I help write the software keeping this web site running. Devious Technology consists of amazingly talented people. I get to learn and grow every week. Being able to work from home is cool.
3. How did you find out about deviantArt and what made you decide to join?
spyed made me the offer no sane person would refuse. My son olorinpc has been coming to deviant ART for years, but I had only vaguely heard the name as a popular web site.
4. What is your biggest pet peeve on dA? How about outside of dA?
I try to not publicly pet Peeves.

Staff Appreciation Interview: @p-u-r-i-n
For Staff Appreciation Day (Oct. 16th) I've done a series of Interviews with several members of dA staff. I hope you all enjoy!
Interview with paellamagi.
1. How did you come up with your deviantART nickname?
Beats me. It's the Japanese word for pudding with lots of dashes within. I guess I look a bit like a pudding. :chew:
2. What is your role on deviantART and what do you enjoy most about it?
I'm a MN@, helping to keep the chats and forums rad. I probably like helping out in #help and #MNAdmin the most, though the nonsense in #devart is still enjoyable.
3. How did you find out about deviantArt and what made you decide to join?
An old friend of mine linked to their deviantART profile, and since then I've been hooked.
4. What is your biggest pet peeve on dA? How about outside of dA?
On dA, probably the people who say within threads that something should be locked. Come to #MNAdmin please so it can actually happen. :(
Outside of dA, probably bad drivers. I think that one is fairly s

Staff Appreciation Interview: @sine-out
For Staff Appreciation Day (Oct. 16th) I've done a series of Interviews with several members of dA staff. I hope you all enjoy!
Interview with sine-out.
1. How did you come up with your deviantART nickname?
Well, around the time I joined I was learning about sine waves in both my physics and maths classes in college (not that weird American College, though), couple that with my sometimes unenviable talent for creating bad puns and there you have it.
2. What is your role on deviantART and what do you enjoy most about it?
I work as a Message Network Administrator (MN@ in cool speak), basically, this means I wander around the forums and lock threads that break the rules, and I also spend a not inconsiderable amount of time on dAmn, where I enforce the rules of the chat network (and the site in general, naturally).
I most enjoy the social aspect of the role, in particular the 'staff room' shenanigans.
3. How did you find out about deviantART and what made you decide to join?

Some of you know me as Allison.

I don't take myself too seriously, am crude and sarcastic, but that I am also passionate about helping other people to be passionate about something--anything--as long as it motivates you and gets you going.

I have been involved in deviantART since late 2002. For 3 years, I was the Gallery Moderator for the Fetish Portrait photography gallery and Abstract & Surreal photography galleries. I then spent 6 months as an MN@ helping out in the chats.

I administrated a group account for artists whose work expresses the effects of illness on their lives and gives an opportunity to spread awareness, called ItDoesNotHaveMe.

I'm not very involved any more. I rarely log in. Life offline has taken me by storm and there aren't enough hours in the day to encompass two gigging bands, a career as a make-up artist, running my business, and working my full time day job. No apologies :P

Cheers!
