First, I must say that this picture is absolutely breath-taking. Secondly the color choice was pure genius. I find that the color white often give the sense of innocence. I have no idea if you were going for that or not but I got that impression. The pearls were such a great choice, just absolutely marvelous. The costume was wonderfully crafted, excellent work. The only complaint is the chain on the forehead and which proceeds to fall down onto the chest area. Though nothing that would ruin this picture and make me hate it. Really great work once again. <3

A beautiful piece for those whole love the extravagant and sublime, the model's natural beauty is complemented with the flamboyant apparel and dazzling lighting.

The execution was exceptional, her pose seems like a genuine in motion shot, and everything from the fingers to the expression merely add to its particular flavor.

Like the wondrous clouds after a devastating storm, she screams with a boisterous wake but also with a subtle beauty that demands a calm silence, or a stand ovation.

Make up is fantastic, but the jewelry from the head piece seems needlessly encumbering, but only by the slightest bit, it is my only slight objection.

Overall, it is significantly pulchritudinous, job well done.

There is no critique on this yet? Really? So the responsibility falls to ME? All right, but don't say I didn't give ample warning.

*clears throat*

I'm perpetually viewing the world through the eyes of an oil painter and everything I look at is picked apart in minute detail as my hyperactive mind attempts to distill every image into its constituent pigments. In that vein (jugular?) as my neverending life strolls down the gilded primrose pathway to insanity and/or enlightenment, I'm more and more drawn in artistic imagery to limited palettes, and that very thing is what I find so appealing about this photograph.

Yes, the model is splendid... of course. What sexually reproductive mammalian bipedal mobile heterotroph with at least a tenuous grasp upon reality not find Miss Overdose here intoxicating? (Get it? "Overdose?" "Intoxicating?" Ah, forget it.) The costume is delightful and impeccably crafted as are all of her creations. The composition is classical, traditional portraiture, which is a delightful juxtaposition with the strange sort of timeless mix of modern aesthetic quality and Louis XIV-ish ornamentation. It all makes me think I'm looking at what Marie Antoinette would look like at the present day if she had been abducted by extraterrestrials in 1784, traveled at the speed of light for about 24 hours, and was then deposited in Hollywood in 2003.

Yet what continually draws me to this photo and keeps giving me multiple eyegasms is that deliciously limited palette of colors... titanium white, mars black, raw umber, raw sienna, yellow ochre, and burnt sienna. There are no emoticons to express how much I want about four cups of coffee, those six colors, about two yards of Belgian linen canvas, and this young woman's permission to use her likeness in a enormous painting which will be sold and the proceeds used to purchase a lifetime's worth of good intentions, birds' nests, single malt Scotch and yes, more oil paint.

I think it shows a lot of maturity and sophistication to place restraints upon yourself and your self-expression, in this case the use of few colors. It shows discipline, and Overdose and her photographers present this to us again and again in their collaborative work, and that I believe is the magic and appeal in her/their work, and what catches the reclusive eye of even someone like me who is not necessarily drawn to the glamour aesthetic, yet can still appreciate the skill of a master of their craft.

Kindest regards,

~M

Such a fair maiden, oh dear you've truly stolen my heart with this one!<3
White is a favored color of mine and along with that sort of eggnog brown and the fine tone of your skin, you've become a criminal that steals hearts! I adore you in this photo and can't help but love this outfit - you've completely outdid yourself!
