HISTORY

Raised in the mythic kingdom of Shambhala, the girl known as the Princess of the Moon was taught that she came from a long line of women who had been ferocious warriors in battle. No woman of her lineage have ever married a man unless he was a superior warrior to her.

He was entrusted with the sacred mission of protecting the heir to the throne of Shambhala, the young Prince Mengu. Mengu was a restless young man, who would end up escaping to the outside world in search of new knowledge and adventures.

Taking her family heirloom, a moonstone said to make the wearer invincible, Dinsana Devi left her home and traveled to America in search of her young ward. Finding him studying in Gaines, Fox, & Moldoff High School under the assumed name of "Lionel Manning", she created her own false identity, Claire De Lune, and found work at the same school. Prince Mengu then convinced her to fighting crime in her real identity. But the world will knew her as the Moon Maiden, the Hunting Goddess! 

Later, she was joined by a female sidekick called Selena Brown, alias Moon Girl.

POWERS AND WEAPONS

She has superhuman strength, durability, speed, reflexes, agility, stamina and enhanced senses. Besides she owns the moonstone which makes her even more formidable, protecting her from practically any physical damage and giving her the ability to fly.

And if all of the above were not enough, she has a telepathically controlled "moonship" plane.
