Sakura in Ueno Park

I was lucky enough to go to Japan during Sakura season. Ueno park in Tokyo is a very famous place where people gather to view the cherry blossoms, and I must say, it did not disappoint. Hoards of locals and travelers alike gathered in the park participating in Hanami, eating ice cream cones, and drinking beer and sake all under the gorgeous cover of the Sakura trees. When it got dark and the lanterns turned on, the sakura lit up from underneath to create this pink glow that was magical.
