Aftershock Entry 4: Venom
Their cries broke through the air like a chorus from hell as they wracked the fence with their decrepit forms. Mark's eyes widened, both out of pain and slight panic; not for himself, but for the others which had been scrambling around the building seeking entrance with no prevail. He weighed his crowbar in his hands, wincing slightly as his left arm protested with the movement. This was incredibly dangerous for him to be moving, let alone standing, for he had been in constant motion for the past several hours; ever since he had awoken to the hell that was now his reality. Whatever happened next, he had to ensure the safety of his team.
“Mark!” Mary Ann cried as she noticed him standing stock still with crowbar in hand, his back to her. Though she couldn't see it, she could feel the tension coming off of his form. He was planning to do something reckless.
