Ref. Locke by OpalesquePrincess Ref. Locke by OpalesquePrincess
A whimsically unorthodox man he dabbles in both paintings and odd sculptures. He's a dimensional hopper, usually adjusting himself to whatever world he lands in. The one most visited is the Painter World, hence his horribly splattered clothes. He appears around 30 or so in age and his only known child to date is Castiel.

It has that unusual vibe to it. We can start on this. Basically you enter the Painter World through the gallery into the reverse gallery.

The Painting WorldSo I'm copying and pasting this directly from my Dream Journal, as I had pooled this over in my thoughts before sleeping and surprisingly had a dream over it. I'll had my further notes at the end to try and explain in better detail how everything works.
-----------------------------
So this began when I tried to think of a new story, a good 20 minutes before I went to sleep. I started with the basis, what did I want? Something that could delve into Horror of course but also have this fantastical air to it. I wanted the characters to be drawn from one world into the other. Then for a brief moment I thought of this game I.B. where the gallery sort of came to life..... and that sparked the idea. The only thing really was the concept of a gallery, a gathering of artwork from multiple artists; a stringing together of mediums, tools, and concepts.
Since I live in an artist state, and well my college has a museum for students, I started thinking on this. A college student gallery is on displa
Painting World- LocationsSince this is about as far as I got in designing the world, until a new section appears, these will be the sole designated areas.
--------------------
"Real World" Gallery- The one where everything begins. The sole place the "Charcoal Boy" portrait is displayed and where artists are dragged into the Painting World.
Gallery-The flip-side of the real world gallery. Everything has a chrome look to it, the floors being very reflective dark tiles. There are winding halls but most of the portraits are left blank. Save the ones the artists enter through. Those are their drawings permanently on display.
Pathways- Sort of an odd post with signs overlooking these hills and cobble stone paths. Located right outside the Gallery, the sky always seems to have a somber look to it. Colors are faded and there's a "silence before the storm" sort of feel to the location.
Artist Graveyard- Concrete parkway outside the gallery within the Painter World. Littered with graffiti, also the first place the artis

I hope you don't mind that this time I won't be RPing as myself but as a character I made specifically for the painter world. Her name is Joy Myers. She's fourteen years old, has dark long hair and very light skin. She lost her eyesight in a chemical accident when she was five, she learned about her talent for drawing with colored pencils when she was about 9 through the reaction of her parents. She has a yellow lab named Lucky as her seeing eye dog and constant companion.

Nope that's perfectly alright. x,D I don't roleplay as myself much, which would be the Savy Writer persona.
Ooh being blind in this world will be interesting. I'll be using Locke mostly except for Darren who will be the
introduction into the world.

And we're gonna start out in the introduction of the Paiter world piece you wrote right?

(Hmn no that was just a background. I'll write you into it. Once you enter the world the first place you
end up at is the reverse gallery.)

*Darren hovered mindlessly over the cobblestone paths leading to the reverse gallery. He'd already
destroyed several of the Original Artist's painters out of sheer boredom. It'd been weeks since a new
artist had entered the world, he was almost tempted to leave in search of one. He sneered at the thought.*

Darren: Why leave such a paradise? *He grinned ear to ear, soon not even comprehending the subject he had been
discussing with himself. The sad influence the maddening world had upon him. He landed cleanly on the soles of his
shoes and strode into the gallery. He might as well get a glance at the past portraits while he had the time.*

Joy: *she sat on a bench putting the finishing touches on a drawing she was working on before angling it so it was facing where her dog was.* What do you think Lucky?.......I wish you could tell me what it looks like.

Lucky: *he whines and nudges her hand*

Joy: *she giggles and sets the drawing down in her lap* I know I know, no moping. Do you think it's good enough to donate to the museum, or should I just give it to mother?

*The room darkened ever so slightly. It was dead quiet, as Joy and Lucky
were the only ones left in the room. There was a sharp laugh besides Lucky,
coming from the charcoal boy... It's good to note that he was "missing" from his
portrait on display. He leaned over Joy, peering at her drawing before giving a sharp
tug to both her wrist and Lucky's collar. His smile turned up in a sharp sneer.*

-------------------
*Darren wandered aimlessly past the different portraits in an assortment of mediums.
He passed by his own, giving little to no recognition to it. He did however, find himself
messing with the broken pen in his pocket.*

Darren: Haven't drawn in a while. *His smile faded, he almost looked like what he did
on the outside... It only lasted for a moment. In the next he was snickering and eyeing
a blank canvas that had appeared out of thin air on the wall... It slowly began to fill itself
with color.*

Darren: Lucky lucky.... *He cooed lightly*
