Whenever I critique pieces, I seem to pick up on eyes quite a lot, probably because I love painting them.
But anyway, a few people have requested a tutorial for them so here you go.
This is only my second tutorial, so please tell me what you think. I hope you can read my handwriting!
I use gimp, so this is what it it based on, though I'm sure photoshop is pretty much the same.
The foal is my own stock.

Would you use this on wolves too? (Since I can't even find good tutorials for wolf eyes.)
Sorry for the (very) late reply, I've been away for a while! I don't actually draw wolves myself, while I think the outer shape of the eye is different, I'd imagine the actually shading of the eye would be quite similar, so I can't see why it wouldn't work. I guess you can always have a go and let me know how you get on!
