Using Text-to-Image AI
A long time ago, I'd have used it for base images in my paintings and drawings. These days, spine issues and arthritis have put a stop to that. I'm an artistic visual person. Me and AI go together like peanut butter and jelly. Me and computer in general go together that way. I also have ADHD and PTSD. I'm not a people person. I'm a cat person and computer person. It's how my mind works. I just go with it. If this anti-AI thing keeps getting worse, I'll be shunned for using it.
So, while I'm busy being pissed off at the censorship galore, it'll still be a case of C'est la vie. With a "Fuck you, thanks a lot."
For fuck's sake. I can make visuals for my writing. What can possibly replace that? Drawings in Photoshop? Once upon a time. Not. Any. More.

Controversy about Art AI

I've noticed that many sci-fi/fantasy art creators are pissed off at the rise of using AI for artwork. I can sort of understand their reasoning: The "artist" isn't creating shit. They're just supplying the prompt and the AI does what it does: it either creates beauty or fascination or it creates shit.
For me, I adore the Midjourney AI. It creates wonderful images for my story visuals. Wonderful art to put on my desktop. But I will never put my signature on a piece I haven't created.
I respect the opinions of true artists, but I don't think it's justification for wanting AI destroyed. I can't make the images in my head. I don't have the talent. AI does. That said, I will always admire and adore the artworks created by Submicron, Hameed, and others. They have a much better imagination than I do.
