Born in Second Age Ponyland and another potential casualty for the Interregnum had things turned out differently, Blazing Whiplash was, like Stormwind Star, born a Pegasus in a family of Earth Ponies. His father, Thunderous Whiplash, had taken the same precautions as Comforting Presence had, though unlike his fellow member of the Custodes Magicum, he did not have to nag his wife, Passionate Fury, to seek out a specific hospital that would have been happy to fudge up the birth records. Rather, she had chosen a hospital run by the Custodes, as she was also a member of the organization, and welcomed her little colt and his wings into the world
