Aria's first notes about Auta's puzzle, an ancient tool that Auta created thousands of years ago.
(Below are the rest of the notes, and here's a song to play for this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5hhd2jg_VNo )
"There was a cerulean colored magnetic stone at the center of it, a very strong and spherical magnet that looked beautiful and floated at the core. Around it were six wheels of magnetized iron, and she wrote that inside of each of the six wheel there were always two iron springs that pressed on either side against a single crystal of quartz; so that the wheel produced constant mechanical stress on the quartz. This made the quartz vibrate, or oscillate, at a certain frequency. The frequency depended on how intensely the springs were pushing. There were three iron magnetic spheres along with the quartz and springs, in each wheel. Two of them were directly at each pointed end of a crystal. The third was opposite the quartz. The smaller the wheels, the smaller the magnets; meaning, the larger and outermost wheels had larger magnets. As any wheel was turned, the one free magnet in each wheel's sphere-trio was pushed by the magnetic field of all the other magnets, so that each turn, whether up or down on the x-axis, right or left on the y-axis, or as a diagonal rotation on the z-axis, affected the free magnet which in turn affected the spring tenson, which in turn affected the stress on the quartz that was between two attracting magnets. This stress not only produced oscillzation from the quartz, but it made the quartz release sound that resonated in its native hollow wheel. And this happened in each wheel, The effect was that this produced six different sound waves at any time, and for any degree or orientation to which the wheel was turned... The degrees were represented by eye glyphs... The eye glyphs also represented different aspects that were the equivalent of personality traits... As a result, personality could be represented by a sort of song made by the crystals. ... The six wheels represented the six essences, the outer case was hollow too, but not made of iron, and it had seven holes which amplified the vibrations of the song, so that you could hear it. ... There was also math involved, and Auta wrote that the irises had a number value along with a unique pattern. ... This entire puzzle was used with the Creator's Dial that Auta placed in the cave. The dial was used to simulate events in the present, or past or future, and the Puzzle used number calculations on the glyphs on the Dial's own wheels, and the puzzle was adjusted to represent a person; effectively, by using mathematics, she could calculate how each event changed the person in their innermost levels. It was a very brilliant and intricate system. The handle on the puzzle was also made of stone and made the whole item easier to carry around and place, and none of the wheels would fall apart. It was like a gyroscope operating on magnetism, a musical instrument that showcased any personality, a wonder of creativity, a work of dedicated crafting and study... She wrote that she very rarely ever had to simulate complex personalities when she used the Personality item to see a point or person in the future; not until she looked thousands of years ahead, in certain growing civilizations...
In one Auta's journal, and I found it beyond the cave, she had written,'The light-blue stone was a relic that our family kept from Mu. I put it to use here in my work, and to be as a reminder of Mu, I guarded the little stone by keeping this work a secret within this cave. In the stories told of Mu, the people there used quite a variety of Earth's stone. In the beginning, the material of Earth helped the people and their civilization. There was a great crystal that was respected for its unusal power, when the sun shone over it, and a sacred temple was built to harness its power. After the people observed its destructive capability in a catastrophic incident and investigated its other potentials, the leading groups with the greater abilities started to use the fire stone's powers indulgently, forgetting to care for the rest of the people. The gods who had turned to wild beats, by their own indulgence, pulled the empathy of Mu, and indeed some were returned to better conditions with the large quartz stones, yet some of those gods again reverted into indulgence in pleasures and then tempted the powerful groups of Mu to do the same. It became later that this led to a war that had sprouted from the seeds selfishness. Many gods were then enslaved as animals or as remade yet twice lost incarnates, helpless servants to maintain the collapsing nation whose leaders were harnessing the greater stones to create breathing, walking life forms into immediate slaves whose purpose was to be used for sexual pleasure. The mystics and psychics and the political leaders fought each other selfishly, no longer the same leadership from hundreds of years or thousands of years before, and eventually during one of their terrible civil wars, the empire of Mu that had earlie been accidentally disintegrated into five islands: Mu, Leh, Oz (or Og), Poseidia, Atlante--was subjected to a sudden shaking of the Earth, that cast the ocean over the broken empire and shifted the Earth's land so that Mu was now in the middle of the Earth and underwater...' Its very disturbing to say the least, but I understand why she would keep her work a secret."
