If the new game is going to be an another victorian psycho gimmick like AMR (judging from the name and published art), thanks, I'll pass. Could not condone James for going pop, but won't support this, no matter how much I fond of AMA.
Nothing against you personally, your art style would've fit an arthouse game the latter alike.

i don't think so, i think he wants to go darker, which i Prefer myself.
i hope that it won't look so anime like in AMR. i totally get you actually.
but i also think that if the gameplay will be fun it's always fun, and AMR actually won several awards for it's art and design so they know their shit.

Nothing wrong with animesque style as well, actually I'm into it. The story, that's what I meant. In short, While AMA story felt like an early NIN album, AMR resembled a usual Emilie Autumn production line about a stereotypical psycho girl with a bright inner world against an evil victorian psychiatrist. The final murder scene was anything but convincing (how the hell she caught him alone at the station?). Even Sucker Punch trash movie has a more believeable ending.
From gameplay perspective, AMR controls are stiff if compared to the predecessor, were uncomfortable for me even with keys reassigned, in part thanks to the new Unreal engine (against id Tech).

i think games as well as art should go With time. so i get what you mean but that's more personal taste and for the ending- yup that's a plot hole.
i would of done it that it's like in the middle f the night or something so it would of made more sense that they are alone on the platform or something.
and in AMR- grab onto the fucking ledge.

My personal taste is not offended by "shrink vs girl" stories, if done well, like anything else for that matter. However, would not consider AMR storyline a good example, it lacks that something that sets a cliche'd and classical story apart, like current EA isn't the most well-executed example of such a music, to say the least (while NIN certainly wasn't unique, but very distinctive). It was done before, it was done after...

Middle of the night is far-fetched too, a crowded rush-hour platform would've worked better, if no one was watching at the moment, no one would believe that a teen girl could kill a man like that, especially considering the victorian era. Actually, similar IRL cases where an anonymous murderer just walked away aren't unheard of.

AMR has a ton of critique-worthy points, but the ending was exactly what destroyed it for me, for the reason that it shattered my suspension of disbelief, it did not feel like I winned the game at all.

On idTech vs UE, trading one for another was a very questionable choice, a top quality American corporative code against an Indian spaghetti on the plate. It's no wonder UE rendering lags that much behind input. Could understand this move though, since idTech wasn't optimized for fashionable opened areas at the time, so that would mean a closed areas level design similar to AMA.
