As you may have noticed, I haven't been very productive lately with the last gallery submission being from October. Many many things have changed since then. I've moved in September and now it's March and I'm sitting in my room at 2 big tables and have enough space for everything. Got a new DIY furniture which was a lot of work to put together but hey... I can do it! Everything seems perfect.
the fast lifestyle and stress of the new millenium has given me some pesky health issues I've been fighting lately. Even though the panic strokes (even 2-3 per day, insane) I've been suffering from are not serious condition (really, thank you, 21st century!), I haven't had a good consistent night's sleep in weeks thanks to the cicumstances. I got some medication which helps me with the uncontrolable thing (and boy I wish I knew where it came from and what causes it).
So my will to draw and paint has gone completely to zero since then. I survived the hardest times thanks to playing games which helped me not to focus on my condition and relax a bit. And of course my husband has helped me a lot.
But it's slowly getting better.
Hope I'll have more to upload soon.

And I hate to solve tiny problems. But this one really got on my nerves.
I mean, how can someone who wraps his original characters in a blanket made of Creative Commons license ignore CC in other artists' works? This guy has been a bit of pain, using one of my images, ACEO Scheriff as his online identity image. I wouldn't mind, it was apparently popular thanks to the DD, I painted it as a personal piece for a friend so naturally I wanted to have it removed. There was no point in talking to the guy. No matter how nice I was and trying to be helpful (I offered to help find an artist to paint him another artwork), he refused to remove it, argumenting about his character being CC protected and this picure being perfect depiction of it and he has been using it for some time. He offered to pay the full ownership of the image (can't sell what I don't have).
The discussion grew really arrogant and it ended up by reporting him for breaking the CCs on my artwork and using it in a way I didn't like. A big thanks to DA staff for helping here. I did what I could to avoid and was very tired of the conversation and his statement that if I don't want others to use my artwork, I shouldn't put things online. Greetings to all artists here online!
Yesterday the guy argumented on my friend'sprofile that he stole his precious CC protected character. All evidentally to manipulate him to sell him "full ownership" of that watercolor image...
Can someone explain me the world we're living in? Because I don't really get it...

I've seen a few artist filling the questionnaire which I haven't noticed before!
How long have you been on DeviantArt?
I've been here since 2004 but back then I had a different account, yaguara.deviantart.com/. Stupid me, if I had waited for some time I could have it renamed instead of deleting it.
What does your username mean?
My nickname is Olven so "theOlven" is just a small detour as "Olven" has been already taken by a member who even doesn't update anymore. My nickname has been born back in 2003 and it's based on an elvish character me and my friends have created in D&Ds.
Describe yourself in three words.
confused, obsessed, playful
Are you left or right handed?
right handed, please
What was your first deviation?
Back in 2004 it was probably something I had painted at the high school. I think it's still around. Maybe it was this one...
What is your favourite type of art to create?
Anything that involves animals, anthro animals or natural scenery. I love story behind the artwork and pin-ups with nice composition.
If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?
I gues it would be romanticist style in landscape painting.
What type of art do you tend to favourite the most?
Animal related, colorful, detailed or just very nice composition or interesting technique. It varies a bit. Recently I've been also faving sceneries, illustrations, flowers etc.
If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be?
I don't know. Maybe (I have her books and tarot deck and her watercolors are amazing) or (because her artwork is just so sweet) and a few more artists but I'm a bit socially awkward so even if I wanted to talk to anyone who I admire, I'd just limit myself to a "hi!". x)
How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?
I don't have any fellow deviant who'd really have an impact on my life. But let's say it's because he's my RL friend, lives nearby and we sometimes go art shopping together ending up with a cup of coffe and chatting about stuff.
What are your preferred tools to create art?
Watercolors. And colored pencils and sometimes acrylics, only rarely markers and other stuff. It's mainly watercolors. I also collect various brands.
What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?
As weird as it may sound, it's at the office where I work. I don't have really that inspirational environment at home or anywhere else. But I'm working on the idea of having my own art atelier. But for now the room still needs stucco on the walls and the floor. Only a big window to the garden to the north. One day It's going to be perfect!
What is your favourite DeviantArt memory?
Perhaps when I get the message of being featured somwhere else, in some important place. Daily deviations, Microsoft Studios blog etc., I'm happy whenever something like this happens because it gives me confidence in the way I do things. But I always try to push myself harder from time to time.

I've been getting tons of new watches recently from new members here on Deviantart. And thank you for that! <3
My question is: how did you find me here? Did you see someone's feature on their journal or did you see my artwork somewhere else?
The fact#1: THE TROPICAL WEATHER
We've had extreme tropical weather here for the last few weeks and I'm literally dying from the temperature which doesn't get much lower under 30 degrees celcius (in sun it's even worse). Can't draw! Asd3$^d2#!!! Sweaty hands! =C
The fact#2: YES, I'M GETTING MARRIED
Some of you know about it already, some don't. I've been engaged for over a year and am currently in the middle of wedding preparations. This is going to be so much fun! And the dress is absolutely lovely.
The fact#3: I'M BEING BORED OF STEREOTYPE
That's true. I've tried experimenting with other themes like people, flowers landscapes... it's all so fun to paint! I've even tried to give another chance to digital painting. I still hate Photoshop for this... can't stand the brushes.

My camel painting got a Daily Deviation.
I feel so thankful and honored!
I'm so happy... I'm going to need a coffe.
And since I love what DeviantArt has done to the Journal system, here are some steps from the painting process. I used Winsor & Newton Desert Collection limited edition watercolors for this one. I love the paints even more now, they have such delicate warm tones.
I'm currently quite busy, focused on my wedding But I'm deffinitely working on more paintings and stuff. Like today... when our content management system had some lazy moment, I had an inspiring one (below)! I love this game...
Oh did I mention got a feature on the Microsoft Studios Blog? Check it out! Triple yay!
Although I wish I was able to paint something more magnificent, those are still sketches with lots of flaws.
And I'm doing quite fine. Still have my job and 2 places to sleep. One vacation (CeSFuR) behind me, another one ahead. I'm also trying to watch my input and keep eating healthy stuff + doing exercises 2 times a week. Discovered I feel much better the next day after 1 hr of cardio exercise! No excuses! But it's really difficult to keep the morale up after hard day's work.
Sending to all of you!

We just watched the solar eclipse. I borrowed a small box of 1995's floppys from the other office and we used them as a filter which worked just fine. The eclipse has ended and the sun shines with full strength once again.
I had some hard times this winter, had a lot of work and kept coming home half dead. This also resulted in slight depression and a huge art block. I already feel better now and already start having new awesome ideas and plans. I got a big pile of linoleum and started making linocut again, now I'm waiting for the good time to print it. I also updated my DA profile and will slowly upload all the stuff I've created in the past 3 months.
I'm also working on various stuff for CeSFuR.
If you're going to CeSFuR or Zodiacon and are in need of a themed conbadge, please contact me. I'm making these for a special price.
Besides these I'm almost always open for this kind of commission.
